I have come to a revelation. One that I am sure many of you already are aware of.
Spring on the homestead? Absolutely freakin’ nuts! The babies, the garden, the CHAOS! As stressed as it has made me lately, I really do love every minute of it. Well, at least I do for this moment. Ha!
Even though all of my homesteading buds have been busy, they have still made the time to put out some great reading material for you all! Here’s what everyone’s been up to!
Here on the Faulk Farmstead, we LOOOOOVE our chickens. Do you love yours? Do you put them to work for you? Well, yeah, they need to earn their keep around here! Pshaw! 🙂 Attainable Sustainable shows how you can put yours to work too!
Blue Yurt Farms free-ranges their chickens, just like we do on the Faulk Farmstead. I love watching them happily wander around, pecking and scratching, the way chickens were meant to do. They tell us some of the reasons why THEY love their free-ranging chickens this week!
The Browning Homestead shares with us the overwhelming-ness that comes with the territory of Spring. This Spring has been truly overwhelming for me too – and I think it’s important to share that with each other. Why struggle alone!? 🙂
Last, but certainly not least, the Elliott Homestead shared their recipe for homemade cough syrup – I have to say, this recipe got me through this past week of being on my death bed. Ok, I wasn’t dying, but I was really sick! This cough syrup did the trick AND tasted good!
