Apple Pie Toddy – Dessert in a Drink

applepietoddy

There are nights when wine is nice, or tea is soothing – But then there are nights where you need something a bit, oh how shall I say?  More.

Enter my Apple Pie Toddy.

A perfect blend of milk, spice, and brandy.  JUST the thing you need to wind down and snuggle up.

I’m not going to delay this any longer, as I’m sure you will be wanting to make sure you have everything on hand to make this tonight.

Let’s get to it.

Apple Pie Toddy

1 cup milk (your choice – we use raw cow milk in our house)

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (I use this one)

1 shot apple brandy (we get ours from Bellewood Acres in Bellingham, WA)

1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Cinnamon for garnish

In a small saucepan, combine milk, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice.  Over low heat, whisk until warmed and frothy.

In mug of your choice, pour your brandy – And hey, if you like it a little stiffer than a shot, I won’t judge.  I’ve had those days too.  ;)

When milk is warmed, add to mug, stir gently and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon – because we like to drink pretty things, right?

The final step (this is the really important one) is to curl up on the couch with your favorite quilt and book – and drink away.  Do it for yourself because you deserve it!

  1. I like hot coffee with a shot of Kahlua, a shot of Frangelico, and a shot of Irish Cream with whipped cream on top. Warms you all the way through on a cold day.
